PDX Farmers Markets

About

The story behind PDX Farmers Markets

PDX Farmers Markets exists to be the most useful, filterable directory of farmers markets in Portland, Oregon. We built this site because we found it surprisingly hard to get a simple answer to the question: “What farmers market is open near me today?”

This site is independently maintained by a Portland local who loves fresh produce, supporting local farmers, and making useful things on the internet. We are not affiliated with any individual market or market organization.

Every market listing includes the details that matter most — days, hours, location, season, and whether they accept EBT, allow dogs, have live music, or feature prepared food vendors. We keep this information as accurate and up-to-date as possible.

If you notice any outdated information or know of a Portland farmers market we're missing, we'd love to hear from you via our contact page.

Portland's Farmers Market Culture

The Portland metro area is home to one of the most active farmers market communities in the Pacific Northwest. From the flagship Portland Farmers Market at PSU — regularly ranked among the best in the country — to neighborhood gems in Woodstock, Kenton, and Montavilla, there are dozens of markets to explore across the city and surrounding communities.

Many of these markets go beyond produce, offering live music, prepared foods, artisan crafts, and community programs like Double Up Food Bucks that make fresh food more accessible. Whether you visit weekly or drop by once a season, Portland's farmers markets are a celebration of the region's agricultural heritage and the people who keep it thriving.

How We Keep This Information Current

We regularly review market schedules, hours, and amenities to keep every listing accurate. Sources include official market websites, social media pages, and direct outreach to market organizers. When a market's details can't be confirmed, we flag it as unverified so visitors know to double-check before making the trip.

Community input is invaluable. If you spot something outdated or know of a market we haven't listed yet, please let us know through our contact page. We review every submission and update the site as quickly as possible.

Double Up Food Bucks

If you use SNAP/EBT benefits, you may be able to double your dollars at participating farmers markets through Double Up Food Bucks Oregon. The program matches every dollar you spend with your EBT card — up to $20 per market visit — in coupons good for fresh fruits and vegetables. Look for the “Double Up” badge on participating market listings throughout the site.

Shoutout to Stumptown Savings
